Yes. In fact I just watched a very strange kind of dark movie called Lobster last night. It totally kept my attention which movies often don't. It was weird and odd and good. It's on Amazon Prime currently.

I saw that. It was so dark. More so than I expected. I'd been wanting to see it for a while having heard about it on NPR.

I almost never watch movies. And honestly, I'm not sure I miss it. I haven't been to a movie theater since I was pregnant with E.

I love alien encounter movies, so we went to see Arrival. I was pretty disappointed.
We go to very few movies, so when one is a flop, it's kind of a big deal.

DH loves to go to movies, so we go to a lot of them. We have seen Fences, Hidden Figures, LaLa Land, Arrival, The Accountant, Moana, and Sing recently. My favorite of all of them was The Accountant, but Fences and Hidden Figures were both excellent.

Same. Back in my teens and twenties I went to the movies almost every weekend. Now, I go maybe once or twice a year.

I've only seen Hidden Figures so far. Loved it though!

I really liked it, right up until the last 10 seconds. It's not action adventure, it's smart people solving problems by being smart, and it's thought provoking and well done.

aah - well there's the disconnect - I want to see explosions and alien sex.

Ha! Yeah, if you want/expect lots of action, Arrival is not your movie, for sure. It has some suspense, and some peripheral action, but it's mostly intellectual and thoughtful.

We've been going to the movies nearly weekly lately. For some reason movie theaters are cheap here, plus now that I switched our wireless account to AT&T we get BOGO free tickets on Tuesdays. Recently we've seen Passengers, Fences, Hidden Figures, Office Christmas Party, Nocturnal Animals, and Sing. I highly recommend Passengers, Hidden Figures, and Fences. Has anyone seen Moonlight, Jackie, or Manchester by the Sea yet? Those are on my short list.
