Seriously, I have lived every. single. scene of that trailer. Except for the fantasy nanny part

Wait so what is the premise? Motherhood is super hard (duh face) and then someone shows up and helps you?

It’s rated R. I bet there’s a mental breakdown (for nanny or mom), someone gets ax murdered, or there’s an affair with the nanny.

Supposedly R for nudity. I'm hoping it doesn't go all fatal attraction. It's by the people from Juno, so I have high hopes that if anyone can make a movie uplifting and funny movie about something as everyday as motherhood, it's them. The fact that they got the pumping on top of nursing part of a newborn right gives me hope!

Director Jason Reitman (Up in the Air), screenwriter Diablo Cody (Juno) and Theron are back together again for the first time since the 2011 comedy.Their new film tells the story of a young mother named Marlo (Theron), who is gifted a night nanny by her brother (Mark Duplass.)
While initially skeptical about having help, Marlo eventually forms a unique bond with the “thoughtful, surprising, and sometimes challenging” young woman named Tully (Mackenzie Davis).
“Marlo is a woman who tries her best to keep up with the demands of being an attentive mother, a loving wife, and maintaining at least some self-identity through it all,” Theron, 42, tells PEOPLE of her character. “But at the end of the day, she’s human, and she drops the ball a little. Or a lot.”
As for her character’s new nanny, Theron says, “Tully watches her newborn overnight so that Marlo can get some sleep, and she becomes a surprising source of therapy and friendship for Marlo and she shows her what life can be like outside the mom bubble. But Marlo starts to realize Tully is not all that she seems.”

Oh that’s totally a thing. I have dropped my phone on each kid at least once.

Oh I've dropped mine on my kids so many times. When they want to be held all the time, it's inevitable.

I wonder how the movie goes too. You never know with these "close to home" kinda plots. It could be good or bad.

                        Looks good.

Have you all injured your kid by tugging them out of the car seats so hard that you overshoot and hit their heads on the car ceiling? That's kind of universal, right?

                        Lol.

I’m not tall enough to hit them on the ceiling. But I’ve definitely wrenched them out of car seats when they’re acting like psychotic salmon and “injured” them. Aka they scream “you hurt me!!!!!!l

No, but I’ve hit each of their heads on the car door frame trying to get them into the rear facing seat. 🤦🏼*♀️
