Will you post a rundown of what is in style for the spring? You did one with pictures about a year ago or so and it was really helpful ( and depressing) for me.

I'm on the fence about the polka dots. I don't think they're easy to pull off unless you limit them to accessories. Dresses are still very big this spring/summer, as bright bold primary colors, and big prints. Bags are either oversized or clutches in same primary colors with big prints. OF course black and white will always remain popular. Nautical/world traveler theme is very big. Many American designers are going for styles that will travel well and not look out-of-place in other countries.

Big belts and sunglasses are still in too. It's easy to make the whole outfit look new and stylish by just updating the accessories.

Here's a good examples of polka dots.

Wanted to add that metalic colors for accessories are still very much in. The shapes to look for this spring/summer are wide, boxy and breezy. Just make sure not to dress boxy and breezy head to toe. A billowing skirt is best paired with form fitting top and a boxy cropped jacket will go well with straight leg pants.

Where do you stand on wrap dresses, guys? I look good in them (body type) and there are millions of them out now in the stores. I have one in a funky print that was in this Fall.....but I'm wondering if I should consider buying one that I could keep beyond this fashion moment.

I suppose I'm wondering if wrap dresses are going to be like leg warmers in 5 years. If so, I'll stay with my trendy one and not get another.

If they will be around as more of a staple (or at least acceptable), what fabric/design should I consider? Plain? Print? Basic Black?

Are they in this Spring -- or already gone?

Re: the nautical look, I don't think horizontal stripes look good on most women either. They're not very slimming.

I think the nautical look is goofy (who's going to think that I'm going sailing all of the time?). And what is a stovepipe?

Wrap dresses and tops have been in style for the longest time so I don't see that going anywhere. Plus, they are universally flattering. I think the key to finding one that will be timeless will be in choosing a print, if you choose a print at all. Of course black will always be in...

That said, here is a BAD example of a wrap dress:

This one, on the other hand, is fabulous:

My arms are bigger than her legs. although her legs appear to be 10 feet long.

5% of the 16 year old population can wear those.
