  • Make-up/beauty tip

Genevieve's steam room/conditioner post got me thinking about great lesser-known beauty tips.

What's one tip that really changed your routine/look that wasn't something you thought of doing before?

    ------------------------------

Watching a Bobbi Brown make-over on the Today show, she said to put under eye concealer on the inside corners of your eyes (side of your nose area) as well as under your eye. I definitely notice an improvement!

And speaking of brows, if you have your hair colored, have them do your brows, too.

The best exfoliant I have used is a little bit of sugar mixed with olive oil.

Use a highlighting pencil instead of concealer...better coverage, no caking. Does wonders for dark under-eye circles.

Wash your face and moisturize every single night. I just can't stress this enough. You won't see a difference the next day but this will catch up with you in 15-20 years.

To save time get products that do double/triple duty. Moisturizing cleanser, tinted moisturizer, curling mascara, etc.

I thought that's what plastic surgeons were for! Shit.

That is a good one, Tara. It's the best thing you can do. DH suggested that I start using Retin-A before I get any wrinkles. Before? *smooch*

Between him and a couple of skin biopsies, I am much better about using sunscreen every day. I still have some room for improvement.

If you buy a tinted wrinkle-control moisturizer with sunscreen, you'll be way ahead of the game.

You girls need to try the MICRO-fine refinisher from MAC. this stuff is awesome. It is like a Mini-Microdermabrasion. It's a foam cleanser with tiny microfine particles. You wash your face ,use this and massage it into your skin and let it sit and dry into a masque. Rinse and your skin will feel super soft. I would only use this like 2x a week because it has pretty strong results.

Vishenka ... on YOUR advice, I went out yesterday and bought this. I haven't left the house yet today, so the SPF has done nothing for me thus far. :P Man, am I a lemming or what???

Yes, but now you're safe to leave the house.
