What is the word on this shoe and if it is a go, what would be OK to wear it with:
    http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2915229/0~2 ... 009204&P=1

I am definitely attracted to it but I am definitely fashion-challenged so. . .

Also, what is the word on the Keds ballet flat type tennies? Too young?

I'm not too crazy about them. Would you be open to something like these (also from Nordstrom and in the same price range)

I can see them. Try right-clicking on the image box and go down to properties. You'll see a web address that you can cut and paste into your browser. (At least I think that will work).

Hmmm, I don't really care for them either.

Here are some other options in addition to Vishenka's...

And Ked's..... not my favorite, but a lot of people still wear them. Why do you need them? What kind of outfit would you be wearing with them? If you want, I can try to find some alternatives.

All this thread has me thinking about is this video......

which is clearly inappropriate for children.....

even though it was my child that showed it to me....

Just with jeans/pants and a casual tee. . .trying to avoid flip-flops and/or tennis shoes-type shoes.

I would recommend a pair of "fashion tennis shoes" for that purpose. Or a few pair of cute ballet flats. That's what I wear with those outfits. Here are some examples similar to what I own myself:

                    I own these:

                    ...and I LOVE THEM!!!!!!

They are my favorite shoes right now because I can wear them with anything - ANYTHING! I have worn them to work, to the grocery store, to the vet, to dinner, with dresses, skirts, slacks, and jeans. The silver and the little details spice up the plainest outfit and give it an extra kick. No man can separate me from my Sam Edelman silver flats!!! :stars:

The look on the real estate agent's face when I said that one of the spare rooms will be my shoe closet was priceless. That reminds me, I haven't bought a pair in 2 two weeks.

I just wear ballet flats with an outfit like that.
