What is the word on this shoe and if it is a go, what would be OK to wear it with:

I would recommend a pair of "fashion tennis shoes" for that purpose. Or a few pair of cute ballet flats. That's what I wear with those outfits. Here are some examples similar to what I own myself:

They are my favorite shoes right now because I can wear them with anything - ANYTHING! I have worn them to work, to the grocery store, to the vet, to dinner, with dresses, skirts, slacks, and jeans. The look on the real estate agent's face when I said that one of the spare rooms will be my shoe closet was priceless. That reminds me, I haven't bought a pair in 2 two weeks.
