  • Hair Irons

I'm about to give up on the Revlon straightener that I bought at Target. It worked so-so when my hair was shorter and now it just isn't cutting it.

Any suggestions for the real niiiiice brands? I know they are expensive but I wanted to shop around. The guy who cuts my hair will sell me one of the professional ones at cost but I don't need something that heavy duty.

Or maybe I should just cut my hair short again.

I hear amazing things about the Chi. I think it's worth the investment!

Is there an Ulta around you? You can always purchase different flat irons and if you don't like how it works on your hair, you can return it and try another. Check the return policies first.

That's all I got for ya.

Thanks! I think there is an Ulta somewhere around here.

I have a Sedu which is AWESOME!! I ordered mine from http://www.folica.com/

When I was researching to buy one, the Sedu one was 'better' because it was as good or better than the Chi but has better reliability/didn't break as often.

I've heard great things about the Chi straightening serum that you can get from the site as well. I bought a bottle, but gave it to my sis to try since she straightens her hair more often and so far she loves it.

CHI all the way. Ignore my hair burning story. That was because I was trying to use it on a different voltage system.

I burned my forehead a few days ago. I wasn't paying attention (obviously).

Cristina -- I think we have similar hair. I have LOTS of fine hair. It's pretty much straight but has body, I guess.

I have the CHI flat iron. After YEARS of hand blowing my hair straight or sitting under the dryer for an hour and a half with velcro rollers the size of coke cans, the CHI iron works like butter. I got mine 5 years ago and it was so worth the 140$ I paid for it.

Chi. Look on eBay for a good deal.
