Business Suits. I need one, stat.

Not sure if there really is an "in" as far as interview suits are concerned, they always tend to fall on the concervative side. Since it doesn't have to be too concervative, what about going with a chino or cotton blend? That way you'd get a lot more wear out of it.

I'll look for ideas on those websites, but the actual stores might have different stuff. BR has some cute suit separates on sale now but I haven't been too crazy about their quality lately.

No clue on interviewing fashion, but I had good luck finding a black pant suit at Ann Taylor for my grandmother's funeral. There were lots of young professional women there also wearing the same black suit - usually with a colored blouse. The youngish female school principal here also sports the look. I think I'd interview in it.

It was cheap too. On sale, but definitely under $200 bought as separates.

AT website has some nice jackets on sale but they only come with skirts.

These are a modern take on a pinstripe suit. They're a bit over $200 but sometimes items are less in a store than on the web.

Target suits are great for stuff like this! I have a few and I get tons of compliments on them even though I got ENTIRE suits for $30. Seriously, check them out.

Lily, be careful, CT is very shee-shee (sp) these days. Tons of companies have moved offices there from Manhattan but people still dress as if they were in NY. Good luck!
