  • Manolo Blahnik shoes

I was at Nordstrom Rack yesterday and there were these cute cute cute Manolo kitten heels. They were so comfortable! I'm thinking I should have bought them. They were reduced from $300-something to $65! And then an additional 35% off of $65. I set them down, another lady picked them up and POOF - they were gone!

They were size 7s. Too big for me. Dh said to stick in some arch supports and they would have been fine... I hesitated, and lost my chance on some $45 Manolos... I could have decked the lady and gotten the shoes, but we're all, uh, adults... Right?

Is this a good time to ask, what's a Manolo? I think I've heard of that brand before, I'm off to google it.

Size, schmize. Besides, I'm sure someone around here is a size 7.

I'm so glad my last article was about shoes.

Exactly. The shoes in my closet range from 5 to 6.5 depending on what was on sale. There are all kinds of stretching and inserts to make them fit.

I will never understand playing more than $25 for a pair of shoes. Never. I mean, why???

I guess I understand if you were purely going to resell them.

I just got me some new flip-flops for 2.98, works for me.

Heidi, it really depends on your lifestyle. I can't really show up at the office in flipflops. I mean I could but then would promptly need to change to some office shoes. And I'd be a bit cold tredging through the snow in said flipflops.

I have also realized over the years that when you spend 12+ hours in office shoes, the expensive ones feel much better at the end of the day and don't require nearly as many band-aids. But if I ever become a SAHM, I'm planning on living in flip-flops and driving mocs.

Okay, Julie, I guess I understand that. I've worked before too. I've worn heels all day, and I still can't fathom that much $. My most expensive shoes ever were less than 100 bucks (I don't recall how much exactly), but they were ballroom dance specialty shoes. You can't just buy those anywhere, and they helped me win some state championships, place at nationals, and get a presidential college scholarship, so I think those were worth it!
