I really don't pay attention to what people wear. Never have. I am just not that observant, I guess. I can tell you that it makes me so self-concious that other people are all over it though.

I only notice when someone looks particularly hideous, and that's a lot of hideousness coming from me. I'll forgive almost anything.

I have no fashion icons. I just don't want people to pity me and my fashion. I was never even on the fashion train. I missed it, and now, I can't even see the train from the station.

Oh I forgot Martha Stewert ...I mean let's face it anyone who can walk out of prison and look as great as she did in her jeans, boots and her famous shawl has to have style!

        I agree with everone mentioned.

I love Sarah Michelle Gellar's style. Her hubby isn't too bad, either.

I'm with you Heidi. In fact....this question may have hit upon my fashion problem. I have no role models. :> I just don't want to be the "don't" picture. At least, not too often.

ETA: It doesn't help that I came of age in the era of punk rock. My idols had safety pins through their lips. Maybe that's the reason the only person that comes to mind for me is Gwen Stefani. (Oh! The horror!)

Angie, Gwen Stefani actually looks great. I love her glam-rock style and she has her own fashion line now. May be you should look into that.

Audrey Hepburn, Jackie O, Princess Diana (ok- she was as much of an 80's fashion victim as the rest of us but she recovered nicely)

Now- pretty much all of the previously mentioned names and Jennifer Lopez and Jada Pinkett Smith also come to mind.

Even the big floppy hat and the famous Versace dress?
