I like the 3rd to last and the last. I also see nearly no point in heels, and I'm only 5' 6".

To each his / her own!

Those are women's shoes? DH's sandals look better than those. Gah, that's a lot of ugly.

Heidi, finding you heeled shoes that you will like is going on my "Things to do before I die" list. I'm officially on a mission.

Well, your mission will be difficult. If anyone can do it...

Yeah, but who is going to pull my hair, slap me, and kiss me first?

Seriously, could you show me some examples of shoes I can wear with no to low heels with no toe thingy? I can't stand the toe thingy.

Apparently, I wear fugly shoes with my denim capris.

Well, as long as you leave my birks the F alone, I'll be fine.

I have a few heels. I have a few wedges that are about an inch and a half high- those are fine. Real heels? I think it was the 2003 holiday party.

But I have that bunion that Heidi's husband will fix someday. (family thing- all the women on my mother's side of the family have a bunion on our left foot. My great grand-mother had to cut Xs in her shoes for the bunion to stick out)

I have bunions too, although they're still pretty mild. A foot and ankle guy already told me to lay off heels. I switched to flipflops on weekends. That's as far as I'm willing to go though.

A few years ago, I sent DH out to buy me a nice white, fitted t-shirt. He came home empty-handed, because the closest to all-white he could come to was one with a rhinestone-emblazened SLUT written across the chest.

Oh, and I live for heels, must be at least 3 inches! I'm not short either (5'7"), but I just got into it about a year ago. I was trying on heels to wear with a dress, and had jeans on at the time. I thought, "man, this looks sexy." And that was all it took.

OK, heel lover here as well.

But, I DO also have bunions. On my left foot it's pretty large and I am thinking of seeing someone about it after I have this next child.

I really like how high heels make my legs look. I have large calves and stillettos force my calves to contract and it looks nice. I'm average height (5'5") and I really like being three inches taller.

It IS vain - I fully acknowledge it. And, my vanity has caused some physical problems (ie the bunions).

No you didn't! High heels are among the things that will need to be torn from my dead fingers.

Heels don't need to be toothpicks, they can be platforms and wedges and stacked heels. There are so many possibilities. It's like hating ice cream or chocolate.
ITA! Heels are super hot. Yes, they are bad for feet, but I feel so sexy and ladylike when I wear them.

P.S. Heidi, you should be proud of your supermodel height. What about kitten heels? Those are mild, no?

Is it bad that up until now I had no idea what a bunion was? I just did a google search and almost lost my brunch when I saw a bunion being operated on. Gross. OK, I just had to clarify that the gross comment applies to the surgery, not the bunion.

Being barely 5'2" it's a given that I love heels. Like someone said, they look so sexy even with jeans. I'm also a flip flop lover and I kick my shoes off the moment I get home.

YEAH - this is so me. Love heels, I'm 5'1". I wear them when I can if out w/DH, but the kid toting keeps them down to flats about 80% of the time, but if it's a date, I'm pulling out the heels. Though DH gives me crap about it every time.
