  • What to wear for a picnic

That's about what I would wear. and throw a jacket or light weight sweater on and you're good to go.

My husband's program has an annual picnic, and assuming the outfit you describe is newish/in reasonable shape, you'd fit right in at the picnic here, anyway. The picnic here tends to be very casual but not ratty. (Not that you would dress ratty--I'm just sayin'. what it is here)

Lily, I wore heels to the picnic DH's program had 3 years ago and was totally sinking into the ground the hole time and cursing myself for wanting to be stylish. I pretty much had to balance my weight on my toes the entire time and was completely misreable toward the end. You did the right thing wearing cute sneakers.
