Nedd a shoe store in NY

I am meeting my brother in NY tonight for dinner (near Times Square). We will be taking the train to Penn station and walking to meet him. I need a shoe store suggestion. My daughter cannot find shoes for her wedding dress. She wants a flat or small heel (one inch max) white satin with pointy toe. I cannot believe how difficult this is. She has been on every web site known to man, and every major department store. She found one pair and bought them online for a ridiculous ammount of money and they are leather, not satin and just don't look right. I'm hoping we will all of sudden see a shoe in the window of shoe store while in the city!!!!

As much as I hate shoes I cannot believe I am asking for shoe advice. It just proves a mother's love can overcome any thing!

She did find a couple of pairs online that were perfect, but didn't have her size

You could also try just walking around the 70's - 80's near (Broadway and Amsterdam) there are just tons of shoe stores and they always have sales going on. Good luck with the search!

If she found shoes she liked but not sizes, maybe a search on ebay?

Thanks for the suggestions. At this point she would spend anything. She found one pair where she got her dress for $350 but is hoping to find something a little less. After what she spent on the dress I don't care what we spend on the shoes (not really but almost). I'll let you know what we find!!!!

What about a Stuart Weitzman store? They have a wedding line in all different heel sizes. There are at least two stores in NY, one in Columbus Circle and another on Madison around E60th.

I got my shoes in small store on UES, on 3rd Ave around E84th. I can double check their address if you're willing to go that far up. Also RK Bridal in the Garment District has lots of shoes that you can order.

Has she found any that she like where the heel was too high? DH sister had the heel cut down off her wedding shoes...

I totally forgot that this is a good option too. I wouldn't recommend decreasing the heel by more than an inch though as it will through the whole construction off.

We hadn't thought of that! She may have found a pair but I'm afraid to ask!
