  • Pink & Brown Dress... advice

So I ordered this dress for a friend’s wedding in a few weeks:

I love the dress, but am having a really hard time figuring out what shoes and bag will go with it. I’ve been asking people and no one seems to really know. I was hoping you gals might have some ideas.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions

Bronze strappy sandals to match the sash. If not copper then gold or neutral.

Something like this could work since it's multi-colored metallic:

These are cute and two-toned like the sash:

I love those laundry shoes, thank you so much. I don’t have the dress yet so it’s hard to tell what color the brown is, but on the computer screen they look perfect. I’m going to order them now. I spent about 4 hours yesterday looking for the right brown, really thank you so much!!!

I had been thinking metallics, were the way to go. Then yesterday this fabulous gay guy I work with looked at me like I was nuts when I suggested it. I think he is a little biased because he didn’t approve of the dress initially.

Anyway if the browns don’t end up matching, would these work (I already own them, so it would be best for the old credit card):

And then for the bag, I already own this (it's pale gold, not silver)

            Think it would work??

He wasn’t thrilled with this idea either

I'm sure they would look good as well. You don't have to get the colors to match perfectly. If they did it would be bridesmaidy IMO.

I did see a part if Stuart Weitzman's that were very lovely (same site) but also like $300... They were gold rhinestones as well.

                  I feel the love.

Not all gay men have great taste and many that do are a bit out there when it comes to fashion. I think women tend to err on the side of caution. I don't see why the shoes and the bag you have won't work. Try them on with the dress to get a better idea. My only reservation is that the bag might be too much gold. See if you can find a bag that incorporates gold with brown and/or pink.

I own a champagne colored bag and shoes just for things like this - but they are satin so they aren't as obvious as leather. Know what I mean?

                    Love the dress, btw.
