I went to a boutique with a friend today who was raving about Michael Stars shirts. They seemed like one of the thin Old Navy or Target t-shirts but cost fifty bucks. What is so special about them?

Re: Michael Stars?
Michael Stars is all about the designer brand-name and the fit. They also claim they use higher quality fabric than you would find in a discount brand. They've got stores in Southern California that cater to the "fashionable" mommy-set at premium price tag. Personally, I don't see the logic in paying $$$ for cotton jersey when you can get the same thing by another designer at a clearance store for $15. I'd rather save my money for something else.

Re: Michael Stars?
Yeah, anything my baby's going to wipe his snotty nose on isn't going to cost me that much. I prefer to spend on shoes. I find my tops on clearance at Ann Taylor Loft, Old Navy, Gap and Banana Republic Outlet. I may check out Belk and see what the clearance prices are on those tops. I've never been, but there's one just north of me.Veronica
