  • sunless tanners

Annie and her sunless tanner comment made me wonder how everyone feels about the stuff.

Orange, streaky, freaky and wrong or does it offer a healthy, happy glow?

    Anyone use it?
What kind did you use and what was your experience like?

I used to use it a lot, and I made a lot of mistakes.... but eventually got the hang of it.

I'm taking a brief hiatus and trying to adjust to my porcelain skin, but dang, I'm really white!

I tried the Neutrogena sunless tanner lotion. Total bust. By total bust I mean some slight streakiness but that is unacceptable to me. And I have medium (white) skin. If I wanted to look tan I would do msytic tan or something like that. If I wanted to totally tick off my husband, I would go to a regular tanning bed.

I start to use the Mary Kay Sunless Tanning lotion in the early spring months and continue to use it until the late fall months. I take a break during the winter time since no one but DH will see my legs anyway. And those days of trying to impress are long gone.

I have had some bad/ugly experiences with these lotions before, but I've gotten the hang of it. One of these days, when money isn't such an issue, I'll probably look into getting spray tanned, but that's a long way away.

I'm allergic. Bummer because I am literally the whitest of the white girls and would love any tan, even if fake.
I cant recommend any brands but the new ones are much better than the old ones.
Friends of mine that use them look great.

I've tried some but no tan of any kind seem to stick to my skin. At my tannest I just look less white. In the spring when warm weather clothes reveal more skin, I use tinted body lotions. They make my skin less translucent and scary. I've tried regular self-tanners and ended up with orange streaks or just plain orange. Plus I'm too lazy to constantly reapply.
