    to stop shopping.

The MP3 player I ordered for Jacob (from amazon) was shipped 1/9. The tracking info shows it was in KC, KS on 1/12 ... but now it's in WA state.

The football jersey I ordered for Quinn (from ebay - but a "store" w/thousands of purchases and good feedback) is still on hold. I haven't paid for it yet b/c they've got the price of the shipping wrong in paypal. I've sent 4 messages, and have gotten 3 replies saying that I have to select first class shipping. It's first class shipping that's priced wrong, and I'm not going to pay an extra $2!

The overstock saga is ... still ongoing. Let's just say at this point it's looking up, but that's only b/c overstock apparently employs only the highest grade moron. There have been 2 more phone calls - I won't bore you with the details. Last night I slept on my mattress pad - that I didn't order - and that their system shows was cancelled. I'm still waiting to get the 1st one out of my dining room ... but at least I got an email from UPS that shows they're planning to come fetch it.

No, it's God's way to tell you to stop relying on the web so much and actually go to a store.

The only one of those things I can get at a store around here is the MP3 player. Browns jerseys aren't in abundance in Kansas City, and I could not find a 4" king size memory foam topper for the same price at any brick and mortar store or online for that matter.

The Overstock thing is working out (I talked to an intelligent person today!). The ebay thing is finally right. I'm just waiting for the MP3 player to show up and I'll be set.

Re: I think this is God's way of telling me

I love shopping online. I haven't really ever had too many problems with it.

Confession: My Hoover died. It died. Dead. The warranty is long gone, and the thing has been pissing me off for some time now.

So, I bought a lightly used dyson for very cheap on ebay! I got a steal. DC 17 Animal with extra attachments. I'm so excited!!! I had to get a new vacuum anyway, so hopefully this works out! It better be as good as you all claim it is!

There is no way I could have found it at a B&M store.

        Dyson DC17 Animal Vacuum

        -Everything below is included-

**Carpet care kit, which consists of:

        -8.5 oz. Dyzolv spot cleaner

-26.5 oz. Zorb carpet maintenance powder

        -Carpet grooming brush

        -Brush tool

        -Crevice tool

        -Stair tool (retail over $49.99),

**mini turbine head (retail $69.99) and a

**low reach floor tool (retail $49.99)

***Also included are 3 attatchments that are usually sold separately:

*Flexi crevice tool retails for $29.99

        *Mattress tool $29.99

        *Stiff bristle brush $19.99

This Dyson is in excellent condition. It has only been used 2-3 times.

Most of the attatchments are brand new and have never been used.

Anyway, so keep the faith on the online shopping. It does pay off.

Is it a refurb? I'd just wonder why it's only "lightly used".

Plus ... if you're going to get the "Animal" ... then you need some animals! Let's all pull together and buy Heidi a puppy!

You don't want to do that. Trust me. You all like puppies too much to give me one.

I don't know why it's only lightly used. Search me! Don't really care if it's a refurb or not.

I can see you testing the suction out ...

Anyway - congratulations on joining the ranks of Dyson-ites. I seriously think they are so much better than the standard $100 / $200 vacs out there that if you're buying a vaccuum, you should just bite the bullet.
