Will the Espadrille shoes be in style this summer?

I am ordering DS some shoes on Lands End overstocks and found these shoes I wanted last year but didn't get... now they are $12,... if it doesn't change my shipping cost I might just get them in red - what do you think, go for it? It's my kind of cute shoe, one you can wear around kids cause the wedge isn't to high.

i actually think those are cute! shocking...since i live in flip flops.

what does one wear those with? jeans? *gasp* capris, or those longer shorts? do tell.

I got a pair of espadrilles last September on clearance and plan on wearing them next summer, so I say go for them. Espadrilles are not quite classics but they're close and I think safe to wear for a few years to come.
