What's your favorite cold weather accessory?

Anything counts depending on climate, it can be a down coat, furry boots, fuzzy scarf or extra cozy sweater. What's the one thing that makes you warm all over when you put it on and makes you look forward to cold days?

The Down comforter on my bed. When I curl up under it, usually with both cats and both dogs on the bed, I know I may survive until Spring. I want to curl up and stay there until the outside temp reaches at least 65.

Scarf - or scarves in my case.

Being a Florida girl, I did not realize what the big deal was...I thought thy were just fashion accessories. About 5 yrs ago (yeah - it took me that long ) I came to the realization that a scarf made a huuuuge difference in keeping me warm. AND now, I am a fan. Luuuuve my down jacket too. Give me down and give a scarf and this girl from Florida is ready for winter.

My mink hat from Russia but it has to be REALLY cold to wear it. My down coat and numerous hats and scarves. I also have a whole wardrobe of cold weather exercise stuff.

But I hardly ever get to wear any of it. Usually I end up just wearing my leather trench coat because it's just not that cold here.

Cashmere-lined leather gloves. They keep my hands toasty!

Super thick boot socks - and my new find, sheep skin lined clog slippers (got at a great end of year clearance!) - My feet keep the rest of me from cranking up the thermostat!

For outside.....gloves.

For inside......my flannel nightgown with a turtleneck. Poor DH!

In NY it used to be my super warm and furry shearling but it's extremely uncomfortable to drive in and I would totally stand out in the casual crowd here. So far this winter, I only wore it once to the Holiday Party. This winter has been all about boots. I love my furry winter boots.

I have about....oh.....30??? .... scarves. I have a scarf problem. Love them. I purchased a camel overcoat a few years ago and it has been a miracle. No one knows if you are well dressed beneath it! You just look pulled together on top!

The Uggs are great for my feet. I wear them every day in the woods with the dog.

Inside, I like my wood stove.

I love scarves and boots. I have been complaining regularly all "winter" about not being able to wear them, apart from the one day we went to the grand canyon. That was the only day all year I put a coat on too.
(Of course I would be complaining if I lived in the midwest too. I like temperate weather!)

I love sunny crisp cold days. As long as you're properly dressed, winter can be a lot of fun. I just don't get why people hate it so much.

I completely agree- and I LOVE where I am now. (it was 80 degrees today) but when you have what you need to dress appropriately- its awesome. I remember one day I had Petey and Nikolai out when it was 24 degrees and we all had a great time. (and everyone survived and mommy got out of the house!)
