    So true!

Vishenka (calmly, gently): Do you see the difference in these shoes to those mandals?
    Me (confused): No

Me: How do you put this on?
Vishenka (explaining): This goes around through here. This one goes over your head. You take the thread out of the slit here.
Me: I didn't know that. I would have worn it with the thread still in it.

I need much more help than I thought! She was such a good sport!

        Lily, that's so hideous.

I didn't drink when I got home but I sure was exhausted. Although I had a blast. At one point I said, "Am I the only one having fun doing this [shopping]?" and both of them just gave me this blank stare.

I'll try to find a picture of the shoes Heidi bought. I was trying to convince her that they should be her everyday flats and she insisted they'll be special occassion heels. At least she bought them and now I can sleep at night knowing Heidi has one pair of non-mandals.

I mean, they're not birks, but they're cute.

I promise to get to all (or whoever wants to) of you at some point. I really did have a blast playing with a real size Barbie.

Vishenka, can we host an East Coast voluntary intervention for anyone who can join us?
I knew you'd agree that those make great every day shoes. Yes, I'm up for an intervention, but I'm hoping to make house calls at some point too.

All kidding aside, but have you ever considered being a personal shopper?

I have, the problem is that the nearest decent store is an hour away (as in working in Bloomies or Nordstrom or NM or Saks personal shopper dept). And most people around here don't really care too much for what they look like and don't believe in spending money on clothes. We have a lot more Home Depot and Lowes stores than clothing ones.

I don't know if I can deal with Walmart-by-choice clientele (as oppose to we're in residency and up to our ears in debt, but just wait till he starts making real money).
