Those are cute.

Ned did the same when he was a pup to DH's really nice and really brand new dress shoes. We were able to get them repaired though one looked slightly different than the other on the seam. His pants always covered it.

I hope you can get them repaired! Wasn't he going after another pair of your shoes? The dog has good taste??

Oh no!!!

When our dog was a puppy (a lab like Nellie's) he used to chew the inner soles of shoes. Nothing else, just the insides. Somehow he'd jam his whole head into the shoe (heels, tennis shoes, anything), and remove the cushioned soles from the shoe. The guy at the shoe repair shop thought it was hilarious - there were always dog hairs stuck to the adhesive in the shoe!
