    Same sh!t.

What to wear. I am sporting winter paunch.

I have this dress in brown, but don't fit into it anymore: http://www.anntaylor.com/catalog/produc ... ses#ATLtop

I've got Spanx, but I'm going to sweat like nothing else in it, and even then, I fear that the zipper is not going to hold up all night.

    It's a steakhouse. Can't I just wear jeans???

I have no idea what I'm wearing this year either. I really only fit in one of my summer dresses from pre-pregnancy and I wore it to a shower a few weekends ago that was attended by most of the same spouses.

The year DH graduates I'm splurging!

      Re: Graduation Dinner

I ordered an extra maternity dress (when I thought my original choice wouldn't work ), and you can borrow it if you want! OK, that really wasn't funny. Don't be mad.

I'm going to look like a gourd spray painted black and propped onto a chair in front of the whole department. Why do they make graduating couples sit up high in front to eat??? I hope no one else's program makes you do this.

Last year (gosh, just a year ago), I was two months post-partum, and I was definitely using support under my dress. I did have to buy a new one, though, bc my old ones were WAY too small. With no money on hand that year, I went to Dillard's juniors and bought a post-prom cream-colored sale item. I may never wear it again, but it worked.

      Hope you can find something!

        It's at Gibson's Steakhouse.

My dh is wearing that Target suit that he refused to let me return.

The department has rented out a party room. It'll be dark (I've been there before.) Dh says that I should just go buy some dark slacks that fit me and wear a dressy top. Ok. I can handle that.

I have some dressy tops, and just need something that doesn't accentuate my belly, doesn't give me a muffin top, and does not endanger people (you know, where the pants are so tight that the button looks like it could be a dangerous projectile).

        Just wanted to vent!

        Thanks!

          I know, I'm awful. Sorry!!!!!!
          Hey, easy now.
Dh is lucky in that he can wear things off the rack, even if it is a Target one.

Hey, I'm ok with it. If he likes the suit, then it leaves me with more money to spend on my clothes... After all I seem to be outgrowing most of my stuff anyway.

              Re: Graduation Dinner

So I've got a pair of dark brown slacks.
What do you think about the style of this top?

              http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2979705?Cat ... rchresults

The goal is to give off the illusion that I'm happy with my body.
I need to cover belly, but am short - will this slice me in two?

I'm not a big fan of prints, but if I have to, throw some examples out there for me, please!

                The legs are wide leg.
I have normal shoulders. More on the broad side. They don't slope.
I have big boobs for my frame (B-C cup) and am hourglassy with a belly. I've got hips (and still have a waist).

They didn't have the Tahari blouse. Sometimes I really miss the Seattle Nordstrom. The Chicago one is dinky.

I went to Ann Taylor and tried this on:

                  http://www.anntaylor.com/catalog/produc ... ses#ATLtop

It was terrible. I don't know why I did it. It screamed: I'M PREGNANT, even though I'm not. Paisley? What was I thinking?

                  I bought this as a just in case: http://www.anntaylor.com/catalog/produc ... ory=Misses

I also bought a crazy printed mesh top that hides my pudge and matches my brown slacks and goes well with jeans. It's just sort of a wild print. Like it'll make you dizzy.

Wow. Your search for shirts makes my feet hurt. Shopping can be exhausting when you know you have to find something.

I actually like all three shirts you posted. The last one is gorgeous! With my angles & pooch, I'd have to wear a camisole/tank under it to make it look smooth.

Guys have a much easier time of it - fewer options, less chance their attire will be scrutinized.

I like them all, Lily!! Even the blue one with the ruffles. I'm short though. I wonder if I can pull that off. Thanks! I'm heading out again this evening to see what's out there. I'll see if I can find the stuff you posted.

Just wanted to add that I have a top that's similar to the strapless brown Forever 21 posted above but in a crazy print and shiffon and it does wonders to hide my middle. I like the idea of strapless empire waist, I really think it'll draw the attention up and hide the pouch.
