  • Heel hypocrite

I know I push for heels whenever I get a chance but this is what I came home with today. They were on ridiculous sale and I figured I can always return them in the fall if I don't find an occasion to wear them during the summer. I should not be allowed to walk past Bloomies while carrying credit cards.

Mine are a bright patent yellow

The main reason why I went for the Cole Haan ones are the color. I'll try to take a picture, it's hard to describe but it's a very happy summery yellow. The Coach ones are just very comfy and practical. And of course both were just too cheap to leave in the store, I paid $117 for the two pairs.

      You amaze me.

The green and orange Cole Haan patent is cute -- bright, but cute.

I like the Coach ones too.

In what way? That I actually plan to wear bright yellow shoes or that I bought two pairs of flat after advocating heels for years? For the record I have tons of heels that I wear all the time too.

No, that you paid $117 for two pairs! I am in awe of you!

I knew you would come around eventually to the comfort of flats.

That's why I buy stuff when it's on sale and don't wait until I actually need something. I've been slowly introducing more flats into my wardrobe also because a few years ago an orthopaedic surgeon told me I'll be crawling into his office soon. I'd like to put that soon off as far as possible.
