  • Jeans for DH

My DH needs new jeans and I am at a loss for men's jeans. I probably need to get them for him somewhere he can actually try them on. As for the cut, he has large thighs so straight jeans are usually fine in the waist but tight in the thighs.

So I guess my real questions are: What cut and colors are in style right now, and what stores would you recommend?

          Re: Jeans for DH

My DH wears the Old Navy jeans, the loose fit, the non-cargo ones. He used to wear the Gap jeans but they changed the cut and now they're tight on him in the thighs. Tight on my husband who is 6'4" and 160 pounds soaking wet is ridiculous.

You could always buy them for him, let him try them on and then return them if you can't get him to a store.

Although I suspect it may be a bit too extravagant for non-metrosexual men, I usually look to the Sartorialist blog when I need fashion ideas or just a general view of what's currently in style.

My DH is tall (6.3") with big thighs too, and Seven For All Mankind jeans fit him beautifully! In fact, they're the only jeans he'll wear. He says they are the most comfortable, and I must say he looks fantastic in them!

                    Re: Jeans for DH

I would go for darker washes and a style that has a straight leg (loose fits come in straight legs too). DH has lots of different brands, I try to find nice designer ones on sale, so that he can also wear them out. I love SFAM and have two pairs myself but the mens ones never seem to break the $100 mark and that's a bit much for me to spend on jeans.
