  • Trouble With Tops

WHY do al of the tops look like maternity tops? I cannot find any affordable tops that don't look like maternity clothes.

I know. When I was able to do some post-maternity shopping it was so depressing to see that a lot of the clothes looked like what I had been wearing for the previous year.

I love the high waist, but I always feel like I'm a sinking ship.

Yeah, I'm in the minority. Flowy shirts look alright on me. This is a rarity. Most of the previous trends like Gauchos, wide leg pants, long flowy dresses look HIDEOUS on me. Do designers even consider what the average woman looks like when dreaming up these crazy concoctions?

I don't think current trends were ever meant for an average woman. I tend to ignore about 98% of them and just stick to colors and styles that work for me and will still look good in a year or two. Although I do have two tops with empire waist. I guess they fall in the 2%.
