Has anyone used this brand "Eye Lips Face" or "ELF"? I keep seeing rave reviews for it and all their cosmetics are $1. I cannot imagine any cosmetics that are any good for a $1, but again the reviews...

I've tried but found the quality to be lacking. Do you have an outlet mall nearby? Estee Lauder and Lancome usually have stores in outlet malls (http://www.premiumoutlets.com) and since each owns a bunch of other brands, you can score some great bargains. That's how I got addicted to Lancome eyeshadow and lipgloss.

I've used Lancome and Clinque almost exclusively since I was 14 or so... which is why I guess I was so curious as to how something that costs a dollar could get good reviews.

I have tried several different products from E.L.F. In general, I'm a fan. Really, it's only $1 and it won Allure's Editor's Choice Award so I think that it couldn't hurt to try a few of their cosmetics. I really liked the lip gloss and I love the customized compact. I picked out a beautiful shimmery bronze, a peachy blush, and two of my favorite colors for eyeshadows to place into it. I did not like their eye makeup remover pads- I did not think they worked very well.

Obviously, E.L.F. won't compare in quality to expensive designer cosmetics, but it is better than some other drug store cosmetics I've tried.

For a couple bucks I can have my favorite colors in one small compact. Can't beat that!

Overall, I don't think ELF products compare to many brand names (however, don't think the department store brands are necessarily better. If you find a comparable product to what you like, Lancome and Lorielle have the same manufacturer. There are other brands like this - one badged the "high end" and one not.). I do think the ELF lip glosses are great. Plus, for a dollar, I can have one in my purse, one in my car, diaper bag, etc, and if I lose one, it's not a huge deal. Also, the cosmetic cases they sell are great! Not a dollar, but cheap, and a good quality.
