  • what are you getting your parents/ILs?

For some reason, DH's parents are the most difficult people on my Christmas list... DH's sister always gets them something sentimental, like a clock with everyone's pictures (there are 12 kids, including the younger adopted set) with a recording from each family member that plays on "their" hour. Or one year, we went together to buy a bench for a memorial garden that DH's mom planted for a daughter who died.

I usually buy them sweaters or stationery.

Do you know what you're getting your parents & ILs yet? In need of inspiration here...

Shipping is free at Snapfish until midnight tonight. I was thinking about getting them a personalized mouse pad, or calendar or mug, something like that.

We are going to get both sets of parents a webcam so we can video chat.

For the 70 plus set, I purchase a subscription to Reminicise (sp?) magazine.

For the grandparents, every other year we try to get a group photo. We do my side one year, DH's side the next. My ILs are particularly difficult because my MIL is a shop-a-holic.

My mom and I don't exchange, but her birthday falls right after Christmas. I try to give her experiences. For her 60th birthday, we went to NYC. Last year, I made her dinner and took her to Wicked. I'm still contemplating what to do this year. Mama deserves a huge gift because there were some pretty lean gift giving years over the last decade and yet she is one of the most deserving on Santa's list.

We're not doing exchanges for the adults on my side this year so we just have MIL and FIL to buy for. MIL is getting one of these: http://www.expressionery.com/product...productid=2121 with matching note cards.

We have no idea what we're getting for FIL, he and BIL are the hardest to buy for.

Everyone is getting a calendar with pictures of Adele from the last year which I make through iPhoto but I've done Snapfish before as well.

Great idea, Cheri! I wanted to get an embosser with my name and address, but we'll be moving soon, and I don't know how long we'll stay in CA.

We don't have kids, so pictures are limited to us (big kids, really) and vacation photos.

Ummm, we usually do something sentimental-ish once a year, but this year it was their anniversary. FIL is getting a golf driver he really wants and other golf stuff and MIL is getting Lululemon pants (seriously, she lovesss mine and wanted some) and the matching jacket. Oh and we got them a joint gift of a digital photo thingy...we'll load some pics of the fam from our adventures the last 18 months of fellowship so they don't feel like they missed everything.

Could you do something that incorporates the 3 babes for them?
