  • because I'm feeling extra sexy...

... what's your favorite brand of compression socks? You know, because full-paneled maternity pants can only do so much to make you feel sexy.

    you mean, like...ted hose?

i wore them when preggers with ds. i was hugely swollen! HUGE!!! i ate like a pig and loved salt. helpful, i know.

if the ted hose are what you're talking about...you can get them in white, black and beige.

your dh may be able to score you a pair from work.

My friend has to wear compression hose for the rest of her life- a happy thought at age 43...

BUT, she has managed to find lacy thigh highs!

I was told to wear these on the airplane (we're going to CA next week). I don't have any swelling yet, but was wondering if there are any socks out there that won't have me sweating like nothing else.

          Seriously?

I flew to Portland at 27 weeks and my docs didn't have me wear those. They told me to drink lots and lots of water before and during the flight, and get up a lot (not a problem when I had to pee every 10 minutes), but no mention of those socks.

If there is any risk of DVT (and I'm pretty sure being pregnant is a risk factor) support stockings are a must. Look into JOBST. Your Doc should give you a Rx.

I meant a must for the airplane, not everyday. With DH's specialty he sees too many pregnant/postpartum PE's.
