Ok I thought some of you gals may get a kick out of this:

I was part of an art exchange with 6 other women. One of them actually had her necklaces showcased this past year in December for Real Simple's holiday guide. We got to gabbing and one of the gals is an art director at her company. She said let this gal come intern for free at her company. To let her get her foot in the door. Well, I'm guessing from the conversation, that the gal came up with her own business idea:

To be a THRIFT store personal shopper. Ok all of us cracked a thousand jokes about this. I mean WHO pays for this. On gal said, people pay her to find $4 jeans???? Apparently, yes. She looks for name brand stuff for people.

There is a job...for anyone, apparently.

My friend's brother and his wife live in LA but travel to the midwest to scour thrift shops for vintage clothing, bring it back to LA, and sell it for a huge mark-up. Smart idea!

So does she shop and buy things she thinks other people will want or does she go looking for specifics? That could be a needle in a haystack sort of thing.
