    Uh, HELLLOOOOO

One word- Birkenstock- cute shoes (no really!) and they don't hurt your feet- and I know this because I have hereditary bunions among other problems.

As for the shoes you currently own, let me pass on my lesson:

if they hurt your feet (including blisters) get rid of them, nothing will make them better.

I'm getting there. Right now I can't bear to look at them but I'll gladly throw them away.

I agree about complete flats, they're not good to wear every day. After all, our feet are not completely flat. I had to get insoles for my sneakers too.
I find the same with some heels, that they're easier to walk in. But I find it impossible to get pants to wear with say, a two inch heel. Petite sizes are too short and regular are too long

All that comes to mind was what my mother drilled into me for years:

        "Beauty is in comfort dear..."

I've learned that the hard way, many times!

I have resolved to hemming just about every pair of pants that I buy.

Have you worn those flats more than once? There are many shoes that will stretch on the 2nd or 3rd wear.

I am closer to my seamstress, than my own mother! LOL Even short or ankle pants are to long on me.
