Are they worth it? All the reviews online (for various options and brands) are very conflicting. If they don't work, I'd rather spend $30 on a pair of maternity pants that I'll wear all the time. I just don't want to invest lots of $$$ into a new wardrobe that I'll only wear for a few months. For now I'm trying to make due with 2 pants and 3 dresses but I'm getting sick of them. I miss the variety of my regular clothes. I also haven't come across any inspiring maternity clothes that don't cost a fortune. Are there any stores or brands that I'm just not aware of?

This is one area of retail that I have absolutely no experience in and need help.

Did I miss an announcement? I had no idea. Are you just preplanning, or are you pregnant?

I came clean in my blog last night. No big announcement was made in the threads, so don't worry you didn't miss anything.

I've had mixed experiences with my belly band, for some pants they work great. Others not so much. The thing I love with this pregnancy are the "new" pants that have a pantyhose like top - they are the most comfortable pregnancy pants I've had. If you do get a belly band get a natural colored one, the dark ones show through some shirts.

I don't recall seeing any pantyhose type bands, will need to watch out for those. Most of my regular pants are hemmed longer for heels, so I'm thinking if the band will only work with a couple of pairs, it might not be worth it, as with my luck it'll only work on the longest ones.

The Bella Band isn't pantyhose like - its a new top on maternity pants that wasn't available when I was pg with A. They stay up and are much more comfortable then any other pants I've bought.

But I got 2 pair at JCPenney for the price of one pair at Motherhood.

The nearest Motherhood, etc. store is about an hour away and I'm not crazy about paying for shipping there and back. Considering everyone here has multiple children I have no idea why there's no store in the area and where everyone gets their maternity wear. I've been to the local Gap & Old Navy and the selection is pitiful.
