Can anyone recommend a place to look for bedspreads online?

I've tried Target, BBB, Pottery Barn, and Crate&Barrel and still cant find anything we like!

What exactly are you looking for? Try www.overstock.com, they have nice linens. IKEA has very nice duvets and duvet covers (handy to change up the whole look of your room in two seconds)

We're trying to pick something to put on our registry--thank goodness for myregistry.com--we can put a bedspread from any online store on there.

I'm the girl who sewed decorative pillows for my college apartment bedspread and put up curtains.

He's the guy who left the brand new bedspread his mom bought him sitting on the living floor for 2 years and still uses his childhood comforter that is so worn and ratty I wouldn't give it to a dog to sleep on.

Somehow we have to find a happy medium...

I would love to just keep the one I have, but we plan to get a queen size bed, and it is made to exactly fit a double. DF also thinks it's itchy.

I'd try all the major department stores: Macy's, Carson's, JCPenny, etc.

I also know that IKEA has tons of duvet covers - unfortunately I don't think their website reflects all they have.

Although there are lots of designs, I recall that bedding was still one of the hardest things to register for - nothing seemed quite right!

We ended up registering for high quality cream colored sheets and cream colored duvet cover because we figured we'd be moving a lot and didn't want to commit to expensive bedding that may clash with the walls in any given rental place (I don't paint). Then we got a couple different quilts so we can inexpensively change out the color to match the rooms. Just a thought. . .

Try looking @ what JCP offers. They have reviews for their items.
I am personally considering the retro chic bed spread collection for a winter set for our bedroom...not sure on which color?

Something to keep in mind, if you have pets or kids, you will want to get something durable that won't snag or tear easily from animals and or future little ones that might romp around on your bed! A few years into our marriage we grew tired of always having to fold back the nice comforters if we felt like laying down during the day. Now we go for bedspreads/ comforters/duvets or coverlets that you can sit or lay on top of.
