It's probably b/c it doesn't squeeze them together and raise them up under your chin. Your boobs are probably doing EXACTLY what they're supposed to. We don't always need to be squished and primped and squeezed into tartlet mode. (insert raspberry blowing emoticon here).

I do like the bra. I guess that's why I've been hesitating to return it. Once you get to a D cup, it's like bras become instantly ugly (with extra reinforcement). I guess it's the same as shoes -- the smaller the size, the nicer-looking the show.

I HATE full coverage bras! There are some cute ones out there for larger chested women. I typically buy brands that use British sizing. Perhaps British women have larger breasts? They seem to have a wider selection. Fantasie is one brand, blanking on the other.
As for YH, do the before and after with your old and new bras but wearing a shirt over them. When I first got my correct-fitting bra it felt much better but looked more or less the same. When I put a shirt on, not only did my boobs look great but I also looked skinnier! Ah, the wonders of a good bra.

I think most men would actually prefer the quad boob look -- as if they're outta control, spilling over the top, and can't be contained.

I say you should keep it if it fits well. I also felt bad spending so much money on a bra, but I quickly got over it when I had to go back to my old bras (I only had one good bra at the time) and realized they gave me NO support at all. I thought they fit before, but all they did was cover, not support. I'm also not too fond of the full coverage bras and I'm a little peeved that they actually make me look smaller, but there are cute AND supportive bras out there, trust me.

Seriously. Your post about S's preference made me think of the "German" way of wearing pants.

                Nut-huggers!

Whenever we pick up dh's parents from the airport, we can always be certain that their flight has landed and the passengers have made it to/through customs: the men come out in jeans of all colors, including stonewash. And the women are impossibly tall and leggy (and may or may not be wearing a bra).

But I love me some Germans, despite the fact that they haven't moved beyond the 80s.

The last company I worked for was owned by 3 german brothers who started the business back in the 70's. They are pretty well americanized by now.

On my first day there, I made a quick stop for a mocha at the Starbucks closest to the office. While there, I saw this tall thin man wearing the most gawd-awful fuscia colored jeans. I just about died inside looking at him in the cafe.

Fast forward about an hour and I am sitting at my desk for the first time when who strolled past? Pink pants man. Turns out he was a big customer from Germany...

                    PINK?! Gahh!!!

My dh is pretty Americanized as far as fashion is concerned. It's not necessarily a compliment, as many Europeans will say that we are slobs (my in-laws wonder why Americans get on the plane in sweatpants and carry their pillows around on board).

Dh does still have a tendency to wear tighter shirts that most. I don't care to see his nipples.
