Where do you get your bedding? I like really neutral bedding, and I would like it to be nice and inexpensive. I haven't found very much I like. So, besides overstock, where would you shop?

The inexpensive makes me think of Target, or Ikea. The "nice" is questionable, though: do you have specific requests for thread count/materials? I have other ideas, also.

No, no specific idea for thread count. I want it to be oversized and actually come down off the sides of my bed. I don't want any micro-suede or anything like that. I should check Ikea. That's a good idea.

I would second Target and IKEA. Last time I checked IKEAs website wasn't very good though so if you don't have one near you, you'd have to request a catalog.

Do you have Kohl's where you are? They usually have good bedding and good sales.

I do have Kohl's. I'll check there too.

I would try Kohls as well! If you shop online you can use coupon codes to receive additional % off and usually get free shipping if order is over 75 dollars. Plus the really great part is you just return what you don't like to the nearest store. I have a friend that will purposely buy something extra to meet/go over the free shipping limit...and then she just returns that item(s)!

Are you talking bed sheets or comforters/duvets/quilts? If it's sheets, then I would agree Kohls is pretty good.

If it's the latter, you may want to consider having someone make it for you. I've looked for comforters/duvets/quilts at the big stores too and I've never found anything I liked. The times that I have purchased bedding from a big store it lasted a couple of years at most. I always thought it was a total waste.

Fortunately, I found this local store where I can go pick out the fabric and have bedding made. It's a little bit more expensive but so much better quality. I had a duvet made for my dd's bed several years ago and it's still in excellent condition despite the wear she puts on it.

You might want to consider finding someone to make something for you online or locally. It's probably a little more expensie but I'm sure it will last longer, making the extra cost worth it.

Do you have Home Goods or TJ Maxx nearby? That's where I get most of my bedding. I've also had some success with SmartBargains but like Overstock it's a hit or miss and I prefer to touch the sheets before buying them. Make sure the package says "extra deep" or "fits mattresses up to 16"."

Julie's right! TJ MAXX & Marshalls usually have really nice quality stuff for a fraction of the retail.

After looking everywhere (I think I asked this same question a few months ago), we found two we liked at JCPenney--though I'm a little worried about the quality.

If we weren't so picky, we would have found lots of options at Target and TJMaxx two--in fact, Target had the one we really wanted--in a picture on the display. It didn't actually exist--though I did see it in the movie Couples Retreat!

Tuesday Morning is another good one to try. I have had good luck at Kohls.

I agree with TJ Maxx and I'd also say that BJs or Costo (the wholesale stores) sometimes have really nice bedding for a reasonable price.

One of my very favorite duvet cover and one of my favorite sets of sheets came from ikea. If you've got one, it's worth a trip.
