  • Vow Renewal Dress- Opinion Needed

DH and I are renewing our vows this summer during our anniversary and I'm having a really hard time deciding between two dresses. Unfortunately my BFF and I have completely polar opposite styles so as much as I appreciate her support her opinions can sometimes be off.

I've narrowed it down to two dresses and although they are similar I like them both for different reasons.

    The first one is: http://www.davidsbridal.com/webapp/w...d=6096897&sort=

    The second one is: http://www.davidsbridal.com/webapp/w...d=6142353&sort=

I'm leaning slightly towards the second one but not enough to really make a decision. HELP! I'm impossible when it comes to making a decision and I really need to get this dress ordered ASAP!

I can see why you like the second dress, but I like the first one better myself. Actually, I photographed a wedding where the bride wore that same dress--I'm assuming she's a different size than you, but here it is on a real live person

I also like #1. I don't like horizontal stripes unless you are pencil thin.

I vote for dress number two. I find it more sophisticated and fun at the same time. The first one reminds me of a grown up first communion dress, dd is receiving hers this year and we've looked at a lot of dresses. Dress #1 reminds me of many that I've seen for the second grade set.

Charlene - what is your body type/shape?

I like the first, but mostly because it covers the knees and it doesn't have horizontal stripes.

BTW, I think it is cool that you are renewing your vows.

My body type is definitely more of a pear or hourglass. I thought the same thing about the horizontal stripes initially and even hesitated to try the dress on. To my surprise the horizontal stripes weren't bad like they usually are on me. I'm going to try and attach photos my friend took of me trying on the dresses so you all can see what they actually look like on me. I cropped out my face since I was making funny faces at the time.

Yep. On, the striped one is best. Based on your links I would have chosen the other, but there's no contest.

Striped. But either choice looks good - congrats on your renewal!

Based on the pictures on the models, I would have chosen the other dress. Based on the dresses on you, definitely the striped one!

If you have to go with either one, I vote for the stripes but actually not too crazy about either. I find them both a bit childish (more of a Jr. BM than a bride's dress) and was never a big fan of David's Bridal.
