  • Another (wedding) dress thread

In the spirit of Cher from Clueless ("I don't rely on mirrors so I always take polaroids"), I cajoled my roommate to take pictures of me in all my "wedding related' dresses while she watched "Say Yes to the Dress"--ironic? I went a little dress crazy a few months ago--though I'm happy to report I got every single one of these dresses (besides the wedding gown) for under $25 and the first dress was only $8!

Anyway, I need to choose between some of them...opinions?

I'm trying to decide between dress #1 & Dress #2 for the Bridal Shower next weekend

Dress #3 is the rehearsal dinner dress and probably my favorite.

Dress #4 would be for a "fancy dinner out" during our honeymoon. I'm not sure how I like it, though.

Dress #5 is for pictures we are taking while in Hawaii--too short?

    And two more:
The first is for the bachelorette party this weekend...I think this might have been a total misfire for my poor pear shaped midsection. It just doesn't look right in pictures, but my roommates thought it was cute.

And of course, my wedding gown I just got my bridal pictures back! I'm thinking the sleeves need to be a little thinner, though.

Gorgeous wedding gown! You look beautiful!

I like 3 and 4 the best and would definitely wear one of those for your rehearsal. 2 Makes for a good shower dress. They are all pretty but 1 is my least favorite. I don't think 5 is too short for the honeymoon.

I love your wedding gown but out of the all the other dresses the only one I like on you is the #2 (w/green ribbon).

I think 2 and 4 are the most flattering on you, and I'm with Marissa on #1 - not a fave. You look lovely in your wedding dress!

Your wedding dress is beautiful and fits you perfectly.

I like #2 and #3 but I'm not nuts about the rest, sorry.

              I vote #2 over #1 and don't think #5 is too short.

And when I was shopping for sunglasses the other day, I was taking pictures on my phone and texting them to my sister (in Oregon) for feedback as I went.

Wow - what an exciting time for you! Your wedding dress is beautiful, and more importantly, beautiful on you! I LOVE #2. You should wear it as often as possible, IMO - it is incredibly flattering on you. Also, it looks really age-appropriate. Also love #3. I think #1 just looks a little frumpy. #5 is cute - not too short. I think #4 hits you a little funny on the bustline, but it may just be the pic and not look like that in person.

I adore #2 (And your wedding dress, obvs!). The other casual dresses I don't love.

I think #2 is the most universally flattering shape (I NEVER can wear anything except A-line) and the green color accents are really fresh and fun. I think the others look ok but #2 is the one that will WOW.

#1 looks better in person...but it does have a "Little House on the Prairie" vibe" None of these look all that great in pics to me. Luckily I'll only be heavily photographed in the wedding gown! Thanks for the opinions...I should probably stick with A-lines. I should have put a front view of #3...for once a side view isn't flattering. It's a straight cut, not as hip-hugging as it appears.

Definitely #2 for your bridal shower! And #5 will be good for your honeymoon, and I don't think it's too short either. And I like the dress for your bachlorette party too.

You are absolutely gorgeous in your wedding dress!! Getting excited for you - the big day is fast approaching!

Scarlett--do you have any wedding dress pictures? Though I understand if you aren't quite the attention whore I am
