I'm thinking of getting DrK a photo printer for Father's Day. (He's getting me a new camera for mother's day. Mine broke two months ago.) Does any body have one? What model? Do you like it? Why/why not?

My mom has one, and she has concluded that it is cheaper (and just as easy) to order prints from Wal-Mart online and have them delivered.

She only uses the photo printer when she needs a print right away. I could do that on our regular printer. So I probably wouldn't bother, were it me.

I agree - we got one as a wedding gift, and I've only used it a handful of times. I order prints from smugmug.com since that's where i host my pics, and I think the quality from smugmug is far better than from the photo printer.

And the ones you print at home will eventually fade.
