  • Baby Jogger v. Baby Trend?

I'm comparing the City-Mini (Baby Jogger) and the Columbia Jogger (Baby Trend). BT is much cheaper, but I'm not sure which one will last longer. It appeals to me that all of BabyJogger's strollers have the one-touch collapse/fold system (looks nice). Anyone have any experience with either?

    TIA!

No personal experience but a friend has the City-Mini and loves it. When I only had one I had a BOB Revolution which I LOVED!

Re: Baby Jogger v. Baby Trend?

When I was looking at double strollers the Baby Trend had good reviews but a lot of complaints that it didn't last. So it was great while everything held up but then the wheels would go bad.

I have a Valco Baby double stroller that can be a jogger too. One of the nice features is inflatable wheels. So I can check pressure and refill as needed.

We have the City Mini. I would buy it again in a heart beat. I can have my 15 pound 9 month old in there with my 40 pound 4 year old, and it doesn't feel off balance. I can turn it with one hand (which comes in very handy when you have three kids). Mine is over two years old and looks almost new. I use it daily, and I literally think it has saved my sanity. People literally stop us on the street to ask us about it. Also, there is plenty of room for the kids (my four year old still sometimes sits in it), but is the width of a wheelchair, so it fits through every door with no problem. If you go with it, you do have to buy a cupholder attachment. I can let you know which one we have (I'd have to go look, and I'm too lazy right now). Good luck making your decision. It's amazing how much these dang strollers cost. I just about had a heart attack when I paid for mine, but it is well worth every penny.

TY guys! I took DH to look/test drive one about a week ago, and he's in love with it. Gear head + Need for Baby Stuff = happy DH.

How awesome that he can find some baby stuff to get into - so it's not just you ogling gear It also will make it easier to convince him that a purchase is necessary...DH has already started looking at video baby monitors and we're not even pregnant!

HIJACK: Reviving an old thread. Has anyone checked out the new Baby Jogger City Select? It's a single that can be converted to a double. There isn't a retailer for it within 100 miles. It's crazy expensive with all the attachments. (I'd need to buy the car seat adapter and a 2nd seat eventually.) I'm wondering whether I should consider it or the Baby Jogger City Mini Double (also crazy expensive but not as crazy expensive).

I had a friend back in residency who had the city mini - she loved it. It seemed easy to collapse. Sorry, that probably doesn't help much.

I nannied for a family with twins and they had the Citi Mini. It was amazing at going over cracks in the sidewalk, etc. and is still going strong with the twins after a year of use. It folds really easily, but the storage compartment is limited and hard to access.
