Wow - I mean, I agree with the middle ground, but I totally needed this kick in the butt today. I'm in a frazzled mama slump that's threatening to become a downward spiral. It's worth a little discomfort to pull back out of it! Thanks for the great quote! (Not that I'm going as far as wearing heels today, though. )

One thing that makes a huge difference to me is how things smell. Maybe it's because I deal with diapers all day. Even the smell of rosemary dishwashing soap can make me want to care more about how things look.

I bought wedge heeled sandals today. Hubby likes them and thinks they're much more "me" than the fuchsia Fit Flops I returned.

Fun and I actually chased Kenny with only one of these on in the shoe department of Macy's.

        Maggie got these:

Ella can't wait for Maggie to outgrow them so she can have them. I would have bought them for myself if they had them in my size on the clearance rack.

Cute shoes! They don't look uncomfortable, even.

Thanks for the tip on perfumes! I'll check it out.

Deb- This is what I use for perfume. http://www.dillards.com/webapp/wcs/s...587&R=03291577

You can layer and make your own scents. Some are more "evening" scents, some are more daytime. They sell full size bottles too, but I like the variety (and it's not expensive).

I haven't worn them yet. I'm thinking tomorrow's pool party at DH's boss' house. With a sundress maybe.
