  • I have lost my mind

I have purchased two pairs of boots and four pairs of shoes in the last 10 days. Seriously, someone has to make me stop.

It's finally cool enough to wear closed toed shoes without needing a crowbar to get them off at the end of the day.

and I bought 6 pairs of tights (and hoping that those 90 degree days go away SOON.) and some new clothes and some new make-up (which in my defense, the stuff that I use at work was OLD)

and here's the biggest shocker- while three of the shoes were flats, none of them were birks!

        You're on a roll!

ETA: A couple friends recently took me out for a shopping intervention because I only shop at Target and Costco. (Other places are too overwhelming for me) Since then I have been on a shopping spree trying to pass my purchases off as early Christmas gifts from DH.

Old Navy is having a killer sale right now. I got 3 pair of pants (2 cords / 1 jeans), 4 shirts, and 2 sweaters yesterday for $128!!

I've figured out what is so frustrating to me about shopping even though I've lost a lot of weight. Now that I'm not in the plus sizes anymore, the shirts are cut differently. Instead of hanging off the girls, they're more fitted, and my mid-section is in no way ready for "fitted".

                Sounds fun! Enjoy the shoes!
I've been dreaming of a new fall jacket. And I have an unused Talbot's gift card... hmm, dilemma. I'm thinking their jackets are pricier than I want to spend. I guess the fall weather hasn't worked quite enough magic on me yet!

Jenn - that's exactly my problem with shirts, too. I've gone for the long sweater or jacket to hide the bumpy midriff - or the empire waist "flowy" shirt to be more forgiving.

Buy, buy, buy Jenn DC!!! You deserve to spend AT LEAST as much as your DH is spending to keep a second homefront during this optional fellowship - and maybe some MORE for "pain and suffering". At least in theory. If only this didn't come out of a single bank account, right?

You go girl! I too just bought a TON of shoes. Sears was taking an additional 1/2 off their clearance prices on their summer stuff & I stocked up big time for me & the girls now have sandles for the next 4 summers. At $5 a pair plus their Kidvantage program which replaces the kids shoes for free if they wear out, I couldn't resist. Now we just have to match someplace that has long summers.... Jenn, you got pull at UTHSCSA right?

Well, no. I have no pull anywhere. BUT my neighbors are at UTHSCSA in Internal Medicine and Hem/Onc. (Which by the way, they're now officially pronouncing "U TESKA" which doesn't even make sense.)

It was nice to be able to get some new clothes. Now that I have this PT gig that requires travel I have to have several seasons of clothes available. I also bought myself a new winter coat- it's lightweight but it's super cute. It's a nice length- I probably will wear it here like twice but I will need it traveling to the East Coast.
