  • Oh, fashion gurus - help

I admit it -- I have freaky feet. Because of my ridiculously high arches, I'm having a hell of a time finding pumps that are cute and don't make me want to chop off my feet at the ankles. I also have Morton's neuromae in both feet and have discovered that shoes with roomy toe boxes and insane arch support make my feet happiest, regardless of heel height.

Any idea of which brands are constructed with obscenely high arches? I've tried just about everything at our local Macy's but their selection is a tad limited.

I'm no fashion guru, but my mom needs high arches - she's become picky about her shoes. I'll ask in the next couple days which brands have worked for her.

Please let me know because I suffer from both of those troubles with my feet also!!

The Mortons Neuroma is only in my left foot but it is really bad and my high arches also make it impossible to get comfy in a pair of heels

According to my mom (she's 63), Naturalizer & New Balance are the way to go. I could have sworn she bought some other brand recently, but this was what she gave me as the best for high arches. I haven't had a chance to see if they sell any socially acceptable styles yet...

I've tried inserts, but they're nowhere near high enough. Maybe a combination of inserts and high arched construction?

I've tried Naturalizer, but most of their flats have weird toe boxes that are tightest precisely where I need more room. And their higher heel heights tend to be smack where in aggravates my Morton's. So weird.

I've been holding off on surgery for the Morton's as long as possible, but I've finally talked with my doc for a referral to a podiatrist. After using the metatarsal bars, getting steroid injections and STILL having problems, I think it's time. Blech. I hate surgery.
