  • Denim in your closet

How many pairs of jeans do you own? How many are in regular rotation?
Me-7 pairs total (2 are capris), wear 4 pairs regularly.

I read a review online where someone posted they have 10 pair of the same type of jeans. Do I need more demin in my life?

I don't think so. I have two pairs: the dark and skinnys, and the weathered relaxed-fitting. I've had them for four+ years and don't intend on replacing them any time soon. I think if you find the right classic flattering jeans, there is no reason to have a closet full. I prefer quality to quantity.

Same here. I have two pairs that I love, plus two other pairs that I'll wear when the others are dirty. And then there are the ones from years ago that I haven't sent to Goodwill yet...

I have lots of pairs of jeans, but only 3 pair that I wear regularly (the others I bought when I was post-partum, so I figured I'd keep them if we have another kid). I wear jeans almost everyday though, so I could probably use another pair.

Two I love, Two as back ups, and one pair I use as my, lounge/fat/babysitting jeans (ie couldn't care less what happens to them because they are too big and baggy). So five total.

I love going to Plato's Closet and getting jeans that some princess paid top dollar for, wore once, decided she looked fat and sold them. I get them for half price or less and its awesome. When I get back to KC next month I am hitting up PC again.. My jeans are wearing out.

One pair that fits right now. I've got 10 lbs to lose and I'll be back in my fav pairs. I've never bought a pair I really love though because I'm always hoping to buy a smaller size.

I have maybe four pairs of jeans, including one pair of dressy black. I have a lot more khakis, browns, greys. They are just more forgiving for my lifestyle of bending and stooping. BTW, I'm turning myself in right here right now. I've been wearing yoga pant capris on an appalling number of days in a row. Look for my blacked out face in a magazine soon!

I probably own 10+ pairs but only wear 4 on a regular basis. With my weight rollercoasting, I hate to part with any pair that's one size up or down from my current size.

2 pair of jeans in constant rotation. I should probably get more. I had about 4 pair of jeans and 2 pairs of chords that were in heavy rotation before I had the baby. My pregnancy and mom wardrobes are in sad shape.

                      Seven-

One that is in the goodwill pile because I bought them one day when I was feeling fat, didn't try them on and while I have worn them, they're so baggy that I can pull them off without unbuttoning them. The fashion police should arrest me in those.

I have two trouser style jeans- one that I can wear flats with and one I had hemmed for heels/boots. Those are work wardrobe with a jacket or sweater and a top of some sort.

One absolutely comfortable, nearly at the end of their lives pair that I wear to walk the dogs/kid to school in the am. (the infamous Long and Lean Gap jean that alas is no longer available

One pair for casual Friday at work- appropriately dark, appropriately casual (hemmed for flats) and funky enough to be fun.

Two new pair of not-quite skinny jeans one dark wash and one light wash that are for weekends and evening fun.

                        One pair.

                        Which I wear constantly.

It completely irritates DH. He's begging me to get a new pair. Something about the jeans "rotting off my body and falling apart at the cuffs, inseam, and waist."

I still see the long and leans on the Gap website...

That was my favorite jeans for a while, but right now I'm having really good luck with some DKNYs.

I have two pairs that I wear fairly regularly, one black pair that comes out occasionally, and probably two others buried in a drawer for painting projects and whatnot.

It's still available but they changed the fabric and added a ton of stretch to it and the website is full of complaints.

Huh. Like I said, I've moved on to other things.

(My sister is my guinea pig for this stuff... if she finds something she loves, it'll almost certainly fit me well too. That's how I found the DKNYs.)
