  • The BEST Moisturizer In The World!

I have really, really dry skin, to the point where my legs flake off (sorry, gross, I know)- so I started using straight shea oil. I put some into a spray bottle and squirt a small amount over my legs and arms right when I step on the shower. It's not greasy, but absorbs well. With other moisturizers, my legs are flaky by the end of the day, especially in this frigid weather. But after I use shea oil, my skin is still well moisturized with a nice sheen.

I love it. Just wanted to share

Where do you buy it? Sounds like something I need to purchase.

Oooh, love shea. I had no idea it came in an oil form, though. DS has insanely dry skin and I'm always looking for something new.

I actually found it at a vintage holiday market. Two brothers had a booth set up and were selling their natural line of beauty products called Products of the Earth. Everything was hand made, from all natural ingredients. They said that Whole Foods was going to pick them up in 2011, but I don't know if that's true, and I can't seem to find any information on them anymore. Maybe they went under.

What they used was shea oil with a little splash of fragrance (which I did not care for- luckily the fragrance settled to the bottom and I transferred the oil to a better spray bottle, leaving the reddish fragrance oil on the bottom). I suppose any shea oil would work though (good reviews too, fwiw):

I have found that the oil in a spray bottle is easier and faster to apply to my skin- a few light squirts on my legs and arms, a quick rub in and I'm good to go.
