  • High high heels

How high do you go? I just got some 5 inch heels for this upcoming wedding, which DH loves on me! But I am now 6'2 in them and am terrified of falling on my ass. Here's the link: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/dap_10153...hoes&adCell=W4 they are the Los Angeles all black ones in the first row. I know I know, they are Kardashians, but the price was right and they had my size. Did I tell you all that I am TERRIFIED of falling on my ass???

I have gone 4.5, but that was my limit. I can comfortably wear 4 inch heels, and used to teach in them!

Those are tres cute! I would bring a spare pair of shoes with for times when you may be walking a lot or dancing a lot. You really won't do that much walking, though - especially not fast walking. Hold onto your DH Are the kids coming to this wedding? Do you need to wrangle/carry them while wearing said sexy shoes? That might be a little trickier!

I can't wait to see the whole outfit put together.

No boys!! I think 4 in. would be ideal, but I haven't found any in person and was trying to avoid ordering them online.

Sometimes, depending on the make of the shoe, they can shorten the heel at a shoe repair place. Not sure of the cost, though, but it may be something to check out!

You have a couple weeks - practice!! I agree with GRU - bring a spare pair just in case. I wore a pair of stilletos to a wedding a few months after I busted my ACL...thank GOD I brought a spare pair because my knee kept slipping. You are going to look amazing!!

And GRU, I can't believe you taught in 4-inchers!!

Go you!!! They make little flats that fit in your purse that you can take as a backup or for dancing, but I bet you'll do great! And look hot!

I like the idea of bringing back up shoes. So I just looked up some tall girls (Khloe Kardashian and Kimora Lee Simmons) who rock 5 in. heels to get some motivation. Chris, I'll definitely be practicing. I think I can I think I can!

I used to wear 3" daily but I'm short so I always felt like I'd be out of proportion if I wore anything taller.

Looking back, neither can I (says the woman whose back is in pain without her orthotic shoes)...

I always dance barefoot. Regardless of heel height/comfort. Guess I'm just a dirty hippie at heart. Haha

I usually only go up to 4 inch heels. Anything else makes me feel like the jolly green giant.

Definitely will not be dancing barefoot, but will bring some 3 in. heel back ups just in case! Luckily, DH is 6'4, so I can still look up to him, though barely! I'm actually looking forward to this... I'm feeling like I did before med. school and kids.

You'll be fine with some practice. I actually find it easier to dance in heels than to walk in them. I used to regularly wear 3-4 inches to work and 4-5 for going out, but I'm barely over 5' so that only made me average height. I thinking bringing a lower heel vs flats is a good idea.

3.5 inch is about my limit. I'm short and wish I could wear higher heels, but, alas, I suck at walking in them and can't take the pain. (perhaps i'm just old, now?)

Those heels are super cute though! Have fun!!

Totally jealous. I can't wear ANY heels. Seriously, my Doc Martens are about my limit. Which is so sad...

Dancing in heels is easy! I used to do it for hours! I wish my dh was just an inch or two taller, but even if he were, I still probably wouldn't wear heels often. I just always feel like the biggest girl/presence in a room, and it's not comfortable. I love my purse ballet flats. So handy.

Off to look at some new Gambas. I miss ballroom.
