  • Question for Fashionistas

I just bought these cords in the aubergine color shown: http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do...scid=847826032

How do I wear them without looking like Raninbow Bright? Or should I just exchange them for a black pair?

My fall boots are these (http://www1.macys.com/catalog/produc...5-_-63-_-MP563) in dark brown leather and my winter boots are these (http://thegloss.com/fashion/ugg-aust...ty-wedge-boot/) in camel.

I should clarify, they really look more like a skinny jean than a legging - especially around the belly and bottom. As in, they have structure/support like a jean and they aren't as snug/form-fitting as tights. I was thinking I could wear them like a jean but I'm having second thoughts about the color. I love it but I'm worried it will be hard to work with.

I'm not toothpick thin but I'm petite and curvy (hourglass) with a short torso and I have very slender legs.

That said: I'd be better off exchanging them for black? Or should I just forget about them all together?

I actually love them...especially with an over-sized sweater and boots -- but I love the color. I think you could wear them with colors and not have a problem; they're pretty neutral.

Not a fashionista per se but I tend to stick with black and darker tones for pants because I find them easier to mix and match with varying tops. Those color pants would make it hard to wear too often. Just my 2 cents..

I would think about it in terms of having that color top - I would pair it with cream or black. I agree with the oversized/longer sweater, but with your height, it may be too much...

I love them! I'd pair with a neutral...something cream would look great!

I love them too. I think you care pair them with neutral top (cream, black, gray, etc.), just make sure it's on the longer side and at least a little loose/blousy.
