You couldn't pay me enough to go shopping on BF....or any time that weekend, actually. More and more I am all about the cyber shopping....I just don't have time to "go" shopping.

I'm all about online shopping for electronics and waiting for after Xmas sales for everything else.

Apparently, "experts" are reccomending people wait until the first two weeks of December if consumers want to purchase electronics. That's when they're cheapest.

After working retail, I can not stomach BF. No way. For me, a "want" is not worth standing in crazy lines and enduring crazy people. Happy and safe shopping to those of you who do BF.

For the first year ever, I'm going to try it. We still need a LOT of baby stuff and I'm hoping I can get good deals...I know I'm going to hate every minute of it but if I can get some good stuff in 2-3 hours of shopping for the baby, it's totally worth it. We're only going to go to BRU and Target so hopefully that will limit the experience somewhat.

Neither DH or I is looking forward to it but we can't afford new stuff at retail prices so we're hoping for sales!

As an expert at this, I will give you a few tips.

Have a plan!! You need to know EXACTLY what you need, what price it is, etc. Know what time the store opens. Know which of your items are the biggest deals and most likely going to be sold out or doorbusters. 50% prices on pajamas are not going to sell out at 5:00 a.m. Grab those deals first. Research.

There is no ad scan for Babies R Us yet. As soon as I see it, if I remember, I will post it. I am not seeing anything for babies on the Target Ad Scan. I would skip target for BF deals on baby stuff.

T&S, check BRU online, too. I get their emails, and they've got a lot on sale on their website. They lowered their free shipping to trigger at $49 instead of $99 (although it's only up to $20). Here's their baby stuff sale for today: http://www.toysrus.com/search/index....esday%2520Sale

Also, compare their prices with Amazon. They have completely free shipping on tons of stuff with a minimum of $25 purchase. I noticed some of the baby stuff I needed was cheaper there. I did almost all of my shopping for DD online, and it was way less hassle than the big store trip for DS.

                        Thanks Heidi and LadyM!

We're really hoping to score our carseat on Friday. BRU already has it down about $25 dollars from the regular price so I'm hoping to score it for even less in the store.

Also, Heidi, I will avoid Target since it looks like you're right on the baby deals. Thanks for helping out a newbie!

Also (and this doesn't just apply to Black Friday), I've just learned that Target won't price match between the store AND THEIR OWN WEBSITE. I was standing in the store, w/my IL's wanting to buy a dollhouse for M. The store had it for $125, the website had it for $99. They wouldn't match, so we left and bought one at Costco.

E - I'd sign up for babysteals.com and stuff like that. You'll find much better deals.

Target sucks. It's seriously wal-mart with better PR.
