  • Men's Dress Shirts?

DH really needs some new dress shirts. He is wearing some that are a few years old from Men's Warehouse. They are fine, but getting a bit old. I wanted to refresh his shirt wardrobe a bit. His birthday is this Friday... any suggestions other than MW?

    TIA!!

I will never buy DH another brand then the no iron from Brooks Brothers, they are Fabulous!! Take them out of the dryer and hang them and you never had to iron them!!

I buy a lot of DH's shirts at TJ Maxx, as well as ties. Decent selection/prices.

ETA: will start looking at those BB shirts! I don't iron. (dry cleaners launders and irons shirts for a little more than a buck per)

Does he have average sizes? If so, Marshall's/TJ Maxx/Ross are all fine and you can find some really great deals. If he has a weird or hard-to-find size, Macy's and Jos A Banks usually have a better than average selection of sizes.

Another vote for brooks brother wrinkle free. They are amazing. We never can get them on sale since dh is a weird size but they're still worth every penny!

They are so bloody expensive--wait until they are on sale.

The Lands End dress shirts are workhorses. They last forever! We also have some of the BB no iron and they are beautiful but the no iron doesn't work for dh because he likes a nicely pressed/medium startch shirt, the no iron doesn't really look pressed. We send his to the dry cleaner and honestly for $1.50lshirt it's very reasonable.

I am a big Land's End fan, and if you want to look at them, Crystal, they have a shop in the Cherry Creek Sears.

My completely un-fashion-conscious DH mostly buys whatever is no-iron and on sale at Kohl's though.

We like Costco's Kirkland no-iron ones.

Ditto. Even better if it comes in a box with a tie. Look out GQ

                      Eddie Bauer?

The good thing about anesthesia is that you never have to wear a shirt and tie. We have an anesthesiologist friend who had to borrow his brother's suit, because he was giving a conference talk.

I also love the wrinkle free/no iron Brooks Brother's shirts...but keep in mind they have different fits...slim fit is the best fit for guys with a normal to athletic fit (broad shoulders. waist narrower than shoulders...) The salesmen should be able to help you pick out a good fit based on a description...

It is such a PITA to find shirts for DH. Any athletic cut shirt that fits his neck/shoulders/sleeve goes around his waist twice. Geoffrey Bean shirts from Macy's tend to fit best. They have hidden darting in the back so they work best.
