  • Clarisonic vs Olay's and other's versions

A friend's skin really made me consider also getting a clarisonic device. I looked up the old threads and noticed that some of you are using other brands. I hesitate to spend so much on the thing BUT if it works I can rationalize that I am saving money in the end.

For those of you that have clarisonics, which type is best? I noticed they range from $119 - 300!! Is the $300 really worth it?

For those of you who use the other brands, are you happy with them?

    TIA

I have Olay's version and really like it. I didn't realize quite how much I liked it until I had to use my old face wash regimen for several days while our bathroom was being remodeled. HUGE difference.

This. My skin is very clear since using this product plus the cleanser it came with. I got it at Costco.

After reading the reviews I think I'll order one from Amazon. Trying to be more vigilant with my skin now that I'm 30, I mean 31!

Yeah. The reviews seems really positive. Not something I had considered before. Maybe I'll ask for one for my birthday. Seems like the Olay one is a more than decent alternative.

Can I use it with my own soaps/oils though?

I'm not sure. I've used other, super gentle cleansers like Cetaphil with the Olay swirlie brush thing and it caused irritation that I never encountered with the Olay exfoliating cleanser.

The Olay one or the Clarisonic? Hey if I can get away with spending $40 over $120, I am all for it...but I don't want to spend $40 to later need to spend the $120.
