  • Dressy casual.

Ok ladies. I need help ASAP. We r goin to a fundraiser and I just have not felt like looking for a dress. But now I am out of time (it is tonight). The dress code is dressy casual. Wtf is that?

Do you have a summer/spring dress? Some nice trousers? I bet the reason why they put dressy is because they don't want you in shorts and an old tee. I'd dress casual but accessorize, make sure that the outfit screams "I am on a date night with my hubby" instead of "I am at home depot buying stuff to work on the yard" like I look right now.
Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!

I typically find dressy casual to mean no jeans. A cute dress from your closet will be perfect.

Dressy casual for women, at least here in St Louis (where you are), would mean: no denim, no capris or "beach" type attire, and no casual sandals (like flip flops or crocs). I would choose something casual "Ann Taylor"-ish: classic A-line sundress with no hose, or a white oxford with khakis and flats, or the like.

No. 1. It's a beautiful color and cut on you. Add gold and you're set.

I like 3 and 4. The pink is prob more in line with the dress code request as sometimes back dresses are more formal.

Cant tell the fabric but think 3&4 are less dressy than 1&2? If it were me, Id go with the black one and wear some simple sandals. In the black, I would feel comfotable if I were underdressed or overdressed....but thats just me. Bottom line, you will look the best in what makes you most comfortable.

I really like the pink ones on you, though the first one looks a tad fancy for what I'd think of as "dressy casual". I'd proabably go with the pink printed one or the black one (if it's a cotton or jersey knit -- if it's shiny I'd say also too dressy).
