So out of my element

I don't have anything to wear to dhs roasting chiefs dinner. At all. I have to buy something. I'm at the mall and I want to run away and hide in my car.

Anyway, the event is not formal, but it's dress up. So jeans and birks won't do it...

So...

I think I can do the sheath style of dress. But is this look too formal?



Ugh.

That dress is mostly comfortable-- a little tight across the shoulders. If I go up one size my girls just font fill it out (all those breastfed babies!!!).

Thoughts! Advice??

How formal that is all depends on the shoes and accessories, I would think. It could go either way. Me, I'd go one size up on the dress (more comfortable), and get a padded bra.

Formalness. I think the men wear suits and women usually dressed but not fancy dresses. Last time I went I wore a skirt and shirt thing-- but they are way too big now. I lost about 15 lbs this last year. Mostly from my boobs lol.

So I got dress #1 (dress 2 was just kinda funky fitting around the chest-- hard to see in pictures) but I went with one size up and that took care of the tightness across the back. I think I can wear this dress as my go to LBD (I can't actually wear black-- this ones more indigo-- black rlly washes me out).

I'm not totally sold though. I have only been to one Cheifs dinner and I remember guys in suits and girls in dresses-- but I don't remember how dressy. I might have up go up a bigger mall to see what else is out there... I seriously need a lot of new clothes but I can only handle shopping for 45 min before I'm just crawling to get out of there!!!

I'm going to the gym now. Work off that shoppers angst...
