Graduation Dress Help!

I LOVE that Nicole Miller dress, but I'm so mad they don't have it in my size! I plan on checking in the next week or so to see if maybe they will have it, but I'm not counting on that.

Did ask them to check their other store locations to see if they have the color and size you want in the style you like? When I find something I really love I ask them to call around for me to get it in.

I would rent the dress from Rent the Runway, so that's not an option. It's like $800...not quite in my price range.

I'm not too familiar with them but I assume for your reply that you already asked them if they have the dress in the size and color you want to rent at another location so they can get it in for you. I was thinking if they have more than one location it wouldn't hurt to ask.

RTR is a website that you can rent from. If they don't have something, they don't have it

Ah ok, so I went hunting online for knockoffs.

This is the closest I could find to your dress in your price range. Link The only thing is I couldn't find an option for size.

I saw that! My life is sort of a chaotic mess right now though, so it's up in the air whether I'll attend the five weddings I was invited to this summer. If I end up going to those, that would be a great deal. But, I'm not so sure, so it'll just be one dress for now. I have the Badgley Mischka dress coming next week, so here's hoping it works. I'm still looking for backups.

I got another email from RTR that some of the dresses are 40% off for a week. I just think in your situation renting a designer dress makes more sense than buying a cheap fake.

Ughhhhhhhh I got my RTR dresses today. Neither of them fit. So now they are sending a replacement, but I have zero confidence. The dress was 5 inches too long (in 4 in heels!). I need something by Saturday. And I live in Wisconsin, so of course there is no decent place to shop. Thinking about calling in sick and canceling. I seriously cannot catch a break!

RTR dresses have never fit me. I've done it twice and it was disappointing every time. Order from Nordstroms, multiple sizes and send back what doesn't fit after the event.

Normally I would, but I need it by Saturday, and Nordstrom orders usually take at least three days for me. I still might try, but I need another backup!

If its just the length that is the problem why don't you hem up the bottom with tape? Should be fine for one night.
